Results for the 2008 GAMSAT UK will be released early November. 

The next GAMSAT UK will be held mid September 2009.  Registrations will open mid June and close mid August 2009.

The GAMSAT Score

Overall Score = (1 x Section I + 1 x Section II + 2 x Section III) ÷ 4.

You will receive a score for each of the three sections, together with an Overall GAMSAT Score. The Overall Score will be a weighted average of the three section scores.

Each of the four GAMSAT scores will be expressed on a scale of 0 to 100. (These are not percentage marks.)

Viability of Results

GAMSAT scores are viable for two years. This means that results from GAMSAT September 2008 will be valid for application to the graduate-entry programmes and/or the Peninsula programme in 2009 and/or 2010, but not 2011.  GAMSAT September 2009 results will be valid for applications for 2010 and 2011, but not 2012.

There is no restriction on the number of times you may sit GAMSAT.

The Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT)
GAMSAT is a professionally designed and marked selection test developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) for medical schools offering graduate-entry programmes open to graduates of any discipline.

You will need to sit GAMSAT UK if you intend to apply for 2009 entry to one of the following 4-year graduate-entry medical/dental schools:
  • St George’s, University of London
  • The University of Nottingham at Derby 
  • The University of Wales Swansea 
  • Peninsula Dental School (please see Peninsula Dentistry entry)
  • Keele University

Or to the 5-year degree at
  • The Peninsula Medical School
